I get a lot of emails from habitancy who seem to think the lean cuisine and Nutrisystem meals are one in the same and that one is merely the version of the diet that you can buy in the grocery store.  This is a coarse misconception, but it's positively not true.  I'll tell you why in the following article.

These Two Diets Are Made By different Manufacturers: Lean Cuisine started out as sort of an off shoot of Stouffer foods.  The parent enterprise (Nestle) seemingly wanted to offer a healthier alternative to the Stouffer line of icy foods. The line was created in 1981.

Nutrisystem on the other hand was founded in 1972.  It is run out of the United States also, but it is a fully different stock which is manufactured by a fully different company. Actually, these two are competitors. There are a bit of similarities and differences between them, which I will discuss below.

Some Key Differences between These Two Diets: Lean Cuisine is basically comprised of icy dinners and lunches.  There is a good bit of range in the foods.  For example, Italian, Asian, and Spanish dishes are all represented here.  And, the foods are pretty low in calories, although I personally feel that they are sometimes a bit high in carbs and sodium.

Nutrisystem does offer some icy meals also.  But, there are also prepackaged meals in the lineup. They have over 150 good choices and offer a lot of beloved "comfort food" type options along with pizza, burgers, tacos, fajitas, chocolate cake etc.  Also, they offer breakfasts, desserts and snacks, which are a concentrate of areas where Lean Cuisine falls somewhat short.  The foods are also marginally lower in carbs and calories and a bit higher in protein which may be prominent to you if you if your goal is to get into ketosis for quicker weight loss. The enterprise also offers free reserve and counseling which I find very helpful.

Another unlikeness is that you can get the lean cuisine in some grocery stores, while you commonly have to order Nutrisystem online.  There's some turn over as to either there's a cost difference. Many assume that the grocery store options are cheaper, but this doesn't all the time work out to be the case.  If you order a package from Nutrisystem and make use of the coupons that are often offered, you can commonly get the cost down to a tiny bit over .00 per meal which is quite comparable, if not sometimes lower.

It positively comes down to which diet you feel is going to offer you the most effectiveness, choices, and decent tasting food for the time and money that you're going to put into it.  That's going to vary from man to person.
